Invitations

As always, I have to start with the invitations so that you have some guests to show off your handywork to. Pick out the one that speaks to you.

These are fill-in invitations that include envelopes and are also very lovely. They are also perfect if you don't have time to wait for personalized invitations. They are also good for your budget if you need a large quantity since they are generally cheaper than customized invitations and they come in a set of 20.

If you prefer customized invitations, then take a look at these beauties. They include envelopes and come in a set of 12. You'll receive a proof of how they'll look for your approval before they are printed.

Here is one final option for custom invitations. They also come in a set of 12 with envelopes and are made by the same company as the last ones in the USA. You can't go wrong with either option if you're looking for personalized invitations.

Food Service

As always, you need food for a great party which means you need plates and silverware, too. Here is a complete list of items for a great looking table.

The first thing every great table setting needs is a tablecloth. Not only does it make everything look nicer, but it also makes clean up easier. These red and white gingham ones are no different, and the solid red stripe down the middle is a nice touch for this 4-pack.

If you're using round tables, then you'll need round checkered tablecloths like these ones. They come in a package of 10 so perfect for a party.

If you're holding your barbeque outside, then you'll need to be prepared for the wind to blow away the tablecloths! These handy clips are great for preventing this. They have some of the widest openings of those on the market. There are still certain tables they don't fit, though, so be sure to measure your tables before ordering.

Next up on the important list is plates. You need a sturdy plate at a barbeque so you don't drop any of that yummy food. These black ones, which come in a package of 50, will stand out wonderfully on either of the gingham tablecloths.

This set of black, heavy duty plastic silverware has service for 50 in it which makes it a perfect complement to the 50 pack of plates. And, they'll look great with the gingham napkins coming up next on the list!

A great way to put out your cutlery at a barbecue wedding shower is with these adorable kraft silverware bags. You get 50 in a set, which matches perfectly with the 50 sets of silverware I recommend.

These gingham napkins come in 2 patterns and the package of 80 contains 40 of each style. They'll look great with the black plates and cutlery.

No barbeque is complete without red plastic cups so here they are! This is a package of 100 12-ounce cups.

These food safe sheets have a number of helpful uses at a BBQ. You can use them to line the galvanized buckets in the next section so you can put snacks in them or you can wrap burgers and hot dogs in them. The popcorn boxes can be used for fries, snacks, or even decoration. What neat idea can you come up with?

How adorable are these dessert cups? Fill them with ice cream, jello salad, or even buffalo chicken dip, whatever you want. They hold 9 ounces and come in a pack of 50.

If you've ever been to a picnic, you know that insects are some of the worst uninvited guests. These mesh food covers allow the food to still be visible while being protected from anything unwanted.

On a hot summer day, you'll want to make sure that your cold foods stay that way. That's where these inflatable serving buffets come in...once the party is over and clean up begins, just pull the plug to let the water drain out. Best of all, it comes with a pump for easier inflation. However, speaking from personal experience, I can tell you that they can also be blown up using the balloon pump in the next section.

These gingham tent cards are a good option to let your guests know what their food options are. The chalkboard surface makes them easy to write on.

Cupcakes are always a good choice for a BBQ because they are easy to serve, especially if you're holding the wedding shower outside. These red liners are perfect if you plan on going the cupcake route.

If you decide to have cupcakes, then you'll need these adorable toppers for them! Seriously, who can resist these hamburger and hot dog cupcake toppers that come with favor stickers thanking guests for celebrating with you?

This is a really cute set that has both the cupcake toppers and the cupcake liners all in one set of 24 each. If you plan to decorate with sunflowers, then this set will help pull everything together.

Anyone that has ever eaten some yummy food covered in barbeque sauce knows that it can get quite messy. Be prepared with these adorable "I Do BBQ" wet wipes!

What better way to end a barbeque than with a S'mores Station? This wooden box is perfect for carrying your supplies to the fire.

If you're going to make s'mores, then you need to have a way to roast the marshmallows. These extendable sticks work great over the fire, then easily stow away in the included pouch for easy storage.

Decorations

The right decorations can liven up the mood and tie everything all together, especially at an I Do Barbecue. This section has several ideas for you to choose from and I think whether you use some or all of them, everything will look fabulous.

I wasn't sure whether to include these in food service or decorations so I chose the first spot in the decorations list since they are wrappers for food to make into decorations. All you need is some miniature candy bars, the Hershey's miniatures are normally the perfect size. Buy the candy, then wrap these labels around them and give them out to your guests or scatter them around the tables. Just be careful they aren't in a spot that will cause them to melt! Placing them in a metal bowl or bucket that is sitting in ice water is one good way to keep them cool.

Another item that can be used for decoration or food would be these picnic chalkboard tent cards. You can use them to give your guests direction, label different party stations, or, you can let guests know what kind of food is on the menu.

This set of balloons would sure brighten up any area, even the great outdoors! Use them alone or put them together with the next ones on the list, either way, you can't go wrong.

This decorating set has everything you need if you want to keep things simple. There's a fringed curtain that makes a great backdrop and foil balloons that can be used as photo props. Let's not forget the I Do banner along with colorful balloons. The set is available in 2 color options but the one pictured is the one I prefer.

If you buy balloons to decorate with, you'll need to inflate them. Helium is getting hard to find nowadays and it is hard to dispose of the tanks when they are empty. So, a better alternative than giving your lungs a workout is this great little machine. It has multiple sizes of valves so it can easy inflate any inflatable device. Bonus, it comes with balloon tying tools to make that task easier, too!

Once your balloons are inflated, you'll need a way to display them. You can either make them into garlands or arches, or you can use them as table decor. These stands are a handy way to make nice balloon table displays.

If the previous set isn't your cup of tea but you would like to have a banner, this is a great option. It fits the theme beautifully.

This burlap banner is yet another great choice for your I Do Barbecue. It goes with your theme while setting itself just a little bit apart.

These adorable galvanized buckets are perfect for your table decor. Whether you use them for flower arrangements, balloon arrangements, or even snacks, you can't go wrong with these! If using them for snacks, I recommend using the food sheets in the previous section so that your food isn't in direct contact with the galvanized metal. If using them for decoration, you can easily fill with dirt or rocks to hold everything in place.

Sunflowers are a great addition to a barbecue. Not only do they look good, but they also fit the theme perfectly! Whether you choose to use these bouquets "as is" or separate them and make your own arrangements, they will look super cute in the galvanized buckets you've already scrolled past.

For flower arrangements that are ready to go, these potted artificial sunflowers are a gorgeous option!

Let your guests know they've arrived at the correct party with this customized welcome sign. Be aware, this is just a decal, so you will need something to place it on, such as a window or piece of plexiglass or even a frame or mirror.

Who doesn't love a good photo shoot? This cute backdrop is perfect for that!

If the happy couple has an equally happy pet joining the festivities, this adorable bandana is a must have!

Games

Every great shower has to have games involved. In this section you will find both traditional bridal shower games and yard games that may work better for couples showers if the guys plan to play as well.

You'll love the ease of buying this one complete set of sunflower themed bridal shower games. It comes complete with 40 sets of 5 games and 20 pencils.

Whether you are having a couples shower or a bridal shower, this sunflower game set, including 4 different games, has everything you need if you want your games to be more traditional with a modern update.

If you want to have both traditional games along with games better suited for couples, then this rustic sunflower theme is a good option.

This fun set is great for teams (couples) and offers a variety of activities for hours of enjoyment!

Another great couples game that offers a few variations is Bucketball. Lots of fun for a barbeque!

If you have a lot of random prizes to get rid of or plan to give away the centerpieces, these scratch-off tickets are a great choice. Who doesn't love scratching off a ticket to see if they won?

Much like the previous scratch-off tickets, these are a good time filler. The only difference is that these are a BBQ theme while the others are sunflower.

A fun idea for a shower is to have the guests give the happy couple some advice for marriage. These cards provide a nice starting point to help with writer's block!

Another common activity at wedding showers is to give the couple ideas for a date night to help keep the spark alive throughout the marriage. It is fun to see ideas provided by different generations of guests as well as those at varying points in their relationships!

Planning a wedding shower can be stressful and time consuming. I hope this list helps you make it an enjoyable experience. While there are definitely items that some people will want that are not found in this article, it should get you most of the way there! You need room to make it your own!
